At J P McCurdy Electrical Services, Inc., the health and safety of our service professionals and customers is our top priority. COVID-19 Company Policies and Procedures for the prevention of the spread of the virus and any other illnesses.

My name is John McCurdy, owner of JP McCurdy Electrical Services, Inc. we service the Boston Metro Area North, Boston NorthEast and New Hampshire areas. 

To protect our electrical service employees and customers from the spread of the coronavirus, we developed a preventive maintenance plan. This plan can also be practiced at home.

As an Electrical Service Contractor and part of the essential services listed Businesses by U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and The Massachusetts Office of Governor Charlie Baker and Lt. Governor Karyn Polito. We are an “essential service” as Electrical Services, Standby Generators, Security Services, and Communication Services employer.

 

Our Company Policies and Procedures for the prevention of the spread of the virus and any other illnesses:

Before scheduling any work our office personnel will prescreen customers about coronavirus risk of exposure before we deploy our employees. All calls are recorded.

To be clear, we will not be performing electrical work in areas that have more than four people within a 2000 square foot area inside of building premises. 

Other contractors should be wearing the same safety equipment and practice the same safety measures. 

Our electricians are trained and directed to stay clear and maintain a distance of no less than 6 feet from any person without proper safety apparel or the knowledge in writing that this person was tested as not having COVID-19.

Our employees have been given a Health Safety Bag containing several pairs of Maxiflex washable work gloves, safety glasses, respirator mask with proper filters, Coronavirus killing, disinfectant product solutions, a wet disinfectant towel in a ziplock bag, a drying towel and company uniform. Our employees are mandated to clean all the safety equipment when they leave a Jobsite and at the end of the day, they must machine wash all clothing and gloves worn that day to be prepared for the next day. 

The service vehicle cab will be cleaned several times daily and also include hand washing with Coronavirus killing, disinfecting product solutions.

Our employees are not allowed to use the disinfectant solution indoors at customer premises. Daily job clean-up work will be performed at a customer’s premises as normal with a broom, and a vacuum cleaner with a proper HEPA filter only.

WE RECOMMEND THAT THE CUSTOMER HIRE A PROFESSIONAL CLEANING SERVICE CONTRACTOR AFTER ALL INTERIOR RENOVATION WORK IS COMPLETED.
